I’m very happy to be making a return trip to Lowville, where my great uncle used to spend time in the summers, to perform at the venerable Black River Valley Concert Series.
CONCERT DESCRIPTION: Banjo, mandolin, guitar, bones, spoons, jaw harp and more combine for this special program of regional song traditions from all across our country. Expect sea shanties, Appalachian ballads, cowboy songs, Mississippi & Ohio River roustabout songs, country blues from the Deep South and more, all presented with entertaining stories and just the right amount of humor.
I’m pretty sure we’ll get into a few local songs as well from logging days around Tug Hill and the Adirondacks.
