Musician, painter, animation artist and jack-of-all-trades Ian Bell and his wife Judy Moore run this “privately-operated grassroots cultural resource centre and interactive museum of sorts.” They say “we operate both online and within the walls of a 19th-century former general store on Thompson Road, in the crossroads hamlet of Villa Nova, Ontario. Our focus is mostly on Canadian folklife, music and history but we don’t adhere to a very strict mandate and we certainly don’t take ourselves too seriously. We offer music lessons, workshops, and occasional house concerts within the amazing pressed-tin walls of the old store.
