Brad Robbins on bass and vocals, Corey Kertzie on drums and vocals, and Dave Ruch playing the Fender Telecaster and singing.
Here’s a dreamy gig for me, featuring two of my favorite improvising Buffalo musicians, Corey Kertzie (Wild Knights, Big Leg Emma, Sonic Garden, Band of Peace, etc) and Brad Robbins (Slip Madigan, Vitamin D, Zak Ward Trio and more).
You can pretty much guarantee the songs will go places they’ve not been before, and we’ll all be on our toes listening, finding a groove, and playing off each other.
The material will range from Grateful Dead songs to John Scofield and Jeff Beck to Bob Marley, JGB, and who knows what else.
But the real star of this show is the venue…
It takes a tiny bit of navigating to find Duende, hidden off Ohio Street among the grain silos in downtown Buffalo, but you won’t want to leave once you’re there.
This is old industrial Buffalo, retrofitted for 2019 – comfortable and fabulous with friendly folks, great food and drink, and a beautiful bar made from old workbenches, garage doors and grain elevator brackets.
Come relax with us.
FREE! (We’ll pass the hat a few times.)
