Whitford/Celeste/Ruch Trio – Happy Hour at Duende

Whitford/Celeste/Ruch Trio – Happy Hour at Duende

roots music buffalo ny

Jim Whitford on bass and vocals, Jim Celeste on drums and vocals, and Dave Ruch playing the Fender Telecaster and singing.

This is a fun, experimental trio doing whatever we feel like doing, and to this point, we’ve yet to have a rehearsal!

SO much fun, and wide ranging material from Lucinda Williams to Jimmy Smith organ jazz (without the organ), old-school rock and roll, bluegrass, instrumental oddities, Grateful Dead tunes reimagined, and much more.

But the real star of this show is the venue…

It takes a tiny bit of navigating to find Duende, hidden off Ohio Street among the grain silos in downtown Buffalo, but you won’t want to leave once you’re there.

This is old industrial Buffalo, retrofitted for 2019 – comfortable and fabulous with friendly folks, great food and drink, and a beautiful bar made from old workbenches, garage doors and grain elevator brackets.

Come relax with us.

FREE! (We’ll pass the hat a few times.)
