Welcome…
I started the “Live From The House” series of live broadcasts in mid-March once it became clear that all of my public performances would be cancelled.
Now, after six intense weeks of daily shows, I’m taking a bit of a breather, BUT, you can enjoy several of the recent programs below.

Joe Poupore was my father- I’m #12. I remember step dancing to his fiddle music in our kitchen. Many people visited our home. A wonderful time. We were fortunate to have had this in our lives.
Thanks for this. Made me step dance in my kitchen.
Wonderful! I’m so glad you found your way here. Fortunate indeed.
Alan from the Village of Clinton in the Mohawk Valley, NY. Sound seems fine (on the web site).
Thanks Pete and Dave for another great session on ADK music from the past. I found out the name and composer for our mandolin fiddle tune lesson: Wind That Shakes The Barley by Lesslie Lawrence, I believe. I have been working on the tune and on my arppegios. I’ll be tuning in on Thursday.
Excellent, Ward, and you are correct about the source of the tune (spelled Leslie Lawrence) and the title he gave it. Whether or not he composed it, we don’t know. See you Thursday!
This concert reminds me of the wonderful Songs to Keep series of concerts. I think I attended almost all! thank you. sounds great! I’m listening on my lunch break from Lake Clear. emily
Hi Dave, That was an awesome mandolin lesson. Perfect for my ability. Loved the fiddle tune and looking forward to you doing it again tomorrow. I don’t think you mentioned the name or the composer. Guess I’ll have to tune in tomorrow. You hit the nail on the head with the Metronome suggestion. Keeps us honest and improving! I also tuned into the guitar. Learned a new strum pattern. Keep up the great work. I am not taking my piano lessons now, so your sessions are keeping me sane! See you tomorrow. Ward in Pennsylvania.
So glad to hear that, Ward! Hey, if you’re listening to NCPR tomorrow morning, you might hear a familiar voice.
Hi Dave and Pete, Gave a comment on Pay Pal but I forgot to say my donation was to go to Pete, the aspiring musician to your right. He is apparently also a fast learner. Enjoyed the duet. Keep it uo.
Ward
PS I did not see a tip jar for Pete.
Hi Ward – your donation is absolutely 100% going to Pete! Thanks so much for your support, and we’ll see you again next week we hope!
Hi Pete and Dave from Springhouse PA. Ward
hi
Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts saying hello and thank you for the concerts!
Thank you for putting this on your website, so my students can access it!
Hello from Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks! Thank you, Dave. Today’s concert was great! We look forward to seeing you online tomorrow and next week! Emily
Good show, Dave! I’d tune in again for more Adirondack music next week, or as long as you can do it!
I wrote a Potter’s Alphabet – but it doesn’t make any sense to anyone who’s not a potter!
whats a potter
Loving this.
Hello from Castleton
can we practice the strumming pattern with you today? it sounds so choppy when I do it, kind of like trying to pat your head and rub tummy at the same time, the beat or rhythm is just off
thanks
Joanne M
yes!!
