Video: The Erie Canal Concert
With his guitar, banjo, jaw harp, bones, spoons and more, Dave leads students on a fun-filled musical journey into American and New York State history.
Students become active participants in their own learning as they sing along, respond to questions and act out songs. Topics covered include important dates and facts about the building of the canal, why and how it was used, its connection to the growth of the state and New York City, life on a canal boat and more.
Grades K-8, 45 minutes
Cost: $149 per school (you pick start date, unlimited plays in every classroom and home for five school days)
“We viewed your Erie Canal Concert video this afternoon, it was GREAT!! The kids enjoyed it and interacted as if you could hear them 🙂 Educational, fun and engaging for our 4th graders.”
